Kirk Eye Center Announces Refractive Program for the Disabled

"The thing that impressed me the most, was Dr. Kirk¹s personal attention.  He personally called me the night of my surgery to see how I was doing."

River Forest, IL (November 17, 2004) - Kirk Eye Center announced today the official launch of their Refractive Program for the Disabled. Dr. Kent Kirk, Refractive Surgery Director, provides free surgery for individuals with physical conditions that prevent them from handling their glasses orcontact lenses without assistance. "We are exited to provide this program to the community. The Kirk Eye Center has a long tradition of helping patients with their vision needs and this program continues that tradition," said Dr. Kent Kirk. This program will provide pre-operative exams, laservision correction, and post-operative exams at no charge for qualified patients.

To qualify, patients must meet the following criteria:

  1. Physically unable to handle their glasses or contact lenses withoutassistance.
  2. Good candidate for laser vision correction (healthy eyes, within properprescription range, etc.)
  3. At least 21 years of age.
