A specialist in small-incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation (including ReZoom, ReStor and Crystalens), Dr. Kirk also performs glaucoma treatment, cosmetic eyelid surgery, Botox and Restylane. He further serves as a Board member and the medical director for NovaMed, Inc. and a medical surveyor for the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

An Illinois native, Dr. Kirk earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. He received medical training through a surgical internship at the Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL and an ophthalmic residency at Washington University's Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. In addition, Dr. Kirk has served as a clinical associate professor in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.

A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Kirk also is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He maintains additional memberships in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery; American College of Eye Surgeons; Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society; Society for Excellence in Eyecare; and the Chicago Ophthalmological Society.
